BarkAway (“the app”, bundle / package: com.barkaway.barkaway) is a free ultrasonic dog-repellent utility developed by Mehmet Ünal. No personal account is required.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal data on our servers. BarkAway has no backend analytics, ads, or account system.

• Local app data: Frequency presets, settings (language, volume limit, reminder preference), and an optional child-lock PIN are stored only on your device (SharedPreferences / secure storage).
• Local notifications: If enabled, witty reminder notifications are scheduled on-device. Notification permission may be requested by iOS/Android.
• Audio: Ultrasonic tones are played through the device speaker. The app does not record microphone audio for cloud upload.

Data we do not collect

• No account creation, email registration, or location tracking.
• No advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs.
• No access to camera or contacts.

Third-party services

• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution only

Children

An optional child lock can restrict controls with a PIN. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Use ultrasonic features responsibly around animals and people.

Data deletion

Uninstall the app or clear app data in device settings to remove local settings and presets.

This policy may be updated. The current version is published on this page.
